So the guy at the home theatre place was trying to convince me of the importance of projecting onto a specially made screen, and of course proceeded to describe in obvious hyperbole for my benefit the 100,000 square foot rolls of fabric they set out and treat for these screens. Needless to say, I didn't really explicitly trust this clown due to his obvious penchant for bluster and the typical salesguy energy exuding from under his arms. The fact he was the store owner did little to assuage my doubts.
To the point, does a screen really make a difference, or is a good strong flat white base on drywall a good projection surface? If there special paint, or is a screen really worth it?
