Tatung 50" plasma

Does anyone have any experience with the Tatung 50" plasma monitor which Walmart sells online for $3097? Am afraid to sink that much money sight unseen, since they do not have it in their stores.

You can see the 50" Tatung under the Akai brand and model# PD5006H at your local Costco Warehouse., the TVs are the same, only cosmetic difference. You'll be dissapointed, trust me.

Hewlett-Packard's first 42" low {PE4240N} and high resolution {PL4245N} plasmas were also Tatung-made., they {Tatungs} aren't the best no matter what brand they are sold under.

This model is 2-years old, the DVI is not HDCP compliant., the panel is made by Tatung's own Chunghwa Picture Tube Co., the settings are simple but frustrating because you can't get the desired PQ.

One thing all Tatung-made plasmas share is the washed out, ultra dim picture when a source is connected on the RF coaxial. No matter how many adjustments you make, you'll never be able to get that satisfactory "just-right" image.
