I've got a Sanyo model # ds31590 and when the tv is turned off for any period of time, it takes almost 10 minutes for it to tune in. I've got cable, and when the tv is turned on, it just shows snow. About 5 minutes it gets a picture, but it's only one station and it's on every channel until it completely tunes in. What's wrong with this thing?

I had a similar problem with a Sanyo TV. Everytime you switched it on it would search for all the channels. I checked the manual and there is a special function called "startup programme position". This lets you choose the channel the TV will start on. I selected AV1 and its now ok. May be your manual mentions this option. I hope this helps.
