I had heard that there was a way that you could put a cable box in 1 location (in the garage for instance) and then control that box remotely from your televisions inside the house. Somehow the signal would travel back down the coaxial cable to change the channel. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Yes, I believe it was in a Star Trek episode, season 2 if I recall correctly.

Peas (his pants), I look forward to the day when you move out of mommy's house so you can't afford to stay online and be the village idiot. Peter, a satellite box can be in one location and control a second tv in another with an IR sensor. Unfortunately, a cable box is not designed for this.
