Question, I am looking at both of these brands, both are EDTV. Also they are very similiar in price. However, the Zenith advertises "Digital Cable Ready". The Hitachi(42EDT41) says nothing about that and on the Hitachi site says something about a "CableCard" avaliable through your digital cable company. I happen to have digital cable. Does this mean I have to get this CableCard(which I dont know if my Charter cable even offers-or perhaps its already using it???). Can anyone help me with this question....thanks in advance.

The use of a CableCARD eliminates the need of having a separate set top box. Some of the newer TVs have the slot to fit the cable company's card in them.
If you already have digital cable then your cable provider uses a cableCARD but with a set top box.
