i recently purchased a mediatech 2200 cable descrambler. I have a line coming in to my cable modem, i split that and sent one into my cable descrambler, yet i still get black and white scramblied pictures... its not actually scrambled it is jsut snowy, i get this picture with or without the descrambler box.

do i need to pay for analog to get this to work?

yes. More then likely there is a filter on your line at the port that only allows your HSD signal through.

where is the port? i am desperately trying everything i can. i replaced all the coaxial cables because i was afraid there was a filter on them. (the ends looked really long, much longer compared to my cables) and yet it still doesnt work.
