I see blue people, they don't know that they are blue..... On my Panasonic DMR-E80H last night I started seeing blue people faces. It happens through the DMR for TV (component out) and for DVDs (component out). I tried checking cables but nothing seemed to make a difference. Tonight I am going to check by replacing the component cables one at a time. Any ideas what else to look at? IF the cables don't work I'm afraid the DMR was fried from my original (now replaced) Marantz 7400. The SONY TV is fine, HD cable images don't have the problem. Nor does the RF line that passes through the Panasonic box via RF cable to the SONY for PIP. I use the same component out cables from the Marantz to the TV, so it isn't those cables or the TV.
WHEW. I replaced the three component cables and got the picture back. It looks like the red cable is failing continuity. These were custom cut cables, so I will be going back and re-terminating (Is that a word?) them.
