Getting Rid of the PIP

Can anyone tell me how to get the *#$%*!@&* pip off the screen? The tv is an old Sony rear-projector and the original remote is gone into the black hole of detritus (we got it used sans remote.) I can't figure out how to make my universal remote turn that thing off, though it has a pip button, a swap button, and a move button.

What kind of universal remote do you have? You might want to pick up a Harmony remote and give it a try.http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=10044914&whse=BC&topnav=&cat=42 77&hierPath=79*4277*

However, if your TV is really old, it might not work. Just save your receipt and take the remote back if it don't work. Another option would be a reset button on the TV. Most sets have one somewhere, and it will set all the settings on the TV back to factory settings. It should clear the pip.
