I have a Toshiba RD-X32 DVD/HDD Recorder and have hooked up to Charter cable via a Motorola 2224 cable box. I am unable to get the IR emitter to control the cable box channels with any of the codes provided by Toshiba. Has anyone else come across this and (1) are there other cable boxes that work with the Toshiba, or (2) conversely, has anyone purchased a DVD/HDD Recorder of another brand that has an IR emitter that CAN control the Motorola boxes? I tried using an old emitter from a VCR (that I know works) in place of the one that came with the Toshiba, and no luck there either. For all intents and purposes, Motorola and General Instruments are the same in this area

All the panasonics with the TV Guide Plus features will control Motorola boxes.
