I have an older TV, and am trying to get my DVR, DVD and TV to run through my receiver. I want to be able to use the DVR with the video component of the receiver, and watch tv with the cable through the tv port. I know it can be done, but cant figure out how. I have RCA cables from DVR to TV, TV to receiver. Also cables from DVD to DVR(cable) box, and dvd to receiver video slot. Its not working.

What is your existing hookup?
You don't say what your old set can accommodate. The dual tuner DVR has NO RF output (yeah!).

Note: I must dumb-down the DCT output from 1080i to 480i when feeding the DVD-R.

My DCT6412 dual tuner DVR hookup:
_Sony HDready 19:9 tv via DVI port,
_DVD recorder via Y,R,B out,
_SVHS vcr via S-Video out,
_VHS vcr via composite Video out
My MRV640R recorder has 3 inputs:
_Y,R,B input from DCT6412
__(Love the component inp - only Philips/Magnavox)
_S-Video from TiVo
_Composite Video from VHS vcr
