Need Help with the multitude of connection options!

Config is as follows:

TV: Sony KDF-60XS955 (LCD)
Satelite: DVR - HR10-250(standard Tivo from DTV)
DVD: Onkoyo - DV-CPR500 (Progressive Scan)
Receiver: Onkoyo - TX-SR600
Speakers: Jamo 6.1 955D (small)

None of the manuals have instructions to match my setup, so trying to figure out which connections to use, and in which order to use them to achieve optimal video/sound quality.

I have a boatload of cables: Optical, Coax, RBG, Component, HDMI, etc... but have no clue as to the best use of all. (Only 1 HDMI that connects the DVR to the TV)

Would greatly appreciate some guidance!

Thanks,

Mike:
I have a similar setup. I have a dvr cable box, Onkyo 602 receiver, Panasonic DVD recorder and Speakers for 5.1 ( 5 plus a subwoofer). I run component cables from the cable box, and dvd recorder to the component inputs 1 and 2 on the Onkyo receiver. Then I run component cables from the video out on the Onkyo to the Samsung component 1 input. I run optical audio cables from the dvr and dvd to the optical 1 and 2 inputs on the Onkyo receiver. Speakers are connected as stated in the Onkyo receiver manual. I do not use the internal sound of the TV at all.
