I've been researching the EDTV and HDTV televisions. The posts have been tremendous on this subject. My question which I'm in need of an answer is; If I want a trully better looking picture on non HDTV programs, am I better of with EDTV? ..... Can you really tell the difference between an HD, or Edtv from 10' away?I have Direct Tv with HD capability. By 2006 HDTV will be the norm, but all the previous programs recorded are not!

My Panasonic EDTV has been rated superior to many brands of HDTV. From 10 feet no one can tell the diference between a HD picture and an ED display.
