I recently moved. Before the move the 32" Magnavox TV (approx 5 years old)and hooked up to digital cable box, worked fine. At my new location, using only basic cable network (no digital box), I have no sound on the TV. I have tried everything and there is no sound coming from the TV.

If you have tried "everything" what do you expect someone else to do? My guess you have tried everything except setting your TV to channel three.

Is there an external/internal audio select switch on the back of your TV? If there is make sure it's set to internal. If there isn't your TV menu might have an option in the audio section that allows you to turn the speakers on or off. Since you didn't indicate the specific model these are some things to check.
Peas~ putting the TV on channel three is only useful if there is a STB, Michael indicated (no digital box)

Yes, there is video. We are having to use a smaller TV with the cable splice/split, using the small TV for sound and the large for video.

Did you autoprogram the channels? Make sure you're not on SAP audio.
