Hi, I have two vcrs (one with a dvd included) and I would like to copy a vhs video to another vhs cassette, but my tv is in the shop for repair. I am wondering if a tv is necessary in order to copy the video. Can the two vcrs be hooked together somehow and accomplish the copy? It seems that it should be possible, I am just not very tech-savvy. Help please. Thanks.
Yes you can copy without a TV, you just won't be able to see what you copy. The tape you want to copy can't be a retail tape though, they are copy protected. Connect the two VCRs with RCA jacks from the play VCR out to the record VCR in, then set the record VCR to line. Look for an input button on the remote, or go through the channels till you get to line.
