sorry, the complete novice is back again. i've ordered the Panasonic DMR-EH50 and can't wait for it to arrive so i can try it out. but reading throught the boards, lots of people mention "what software are you using?" is it possible to get new software for the dvd recorder? when i create dvd's from my dvd-writer on my computer i love the fact that i can change the background picture and change the start up music to any mp3 i like. is that going to be possible with dvd recorders? or is it a matter to getting better software to be able to do that?
