I am cheap. I need a replacement multi-function monitor for my computer/gaming stuff (xbox and the like). I have been thinking for a while that I could use a HDTV for this very thing and also have yet another HDTV in the house. What I am wondering and hopeing that someone can give me a difinitive answer to is this.
My questions are, hooking my PC to a HDTV work? Will I be able to use resolution higher than 800x600(like 1024X768)? What is the typical refresh rate for CRT HDTV's? If I use a DVI to component adapter do I lose anything? um, Should I avoid said adapter like the plague? Any info/advice or solid facts anyone has to share would be awesome!
I am not looking to tune HDTV with my PC thats what I have direct tv for, I just ant a multi-function montior like my 22" CRT that has a blown flyback and is on it's second transformer.
