The remote control was working fine the time I bought the player. The problem seems to do with some settings in the setup. Let me give you more details.
#1 1. No CD in the tray. 2. Setup, open/close and no other buttons work.
#2 1. ACD/MP3 CD in the tray and playing 2. No buttons work, nor setup, open/close. 3. Only thing I see is the hand sign after pressing any button on the remote.
#3 1. VCD in the tray and playing. 2. Pressing any key results in Zoom. 3. By pressing the combination key Pscan+stop, Pscan+power works fine. Yesterday's update is that the combination keys also has stop working.
The 3 keys open/close, pause, stop works fine at the player end. I tried connecting the player to other TV set, but still the same problem.
To what I remember is that this problem may have started the last time I was trying to figure out various options in the setup menu regarding the PScan.
Can't really understand what is wrong, is it the DVD player or the remote. I have the Universal remote control (allforone) will that help by using the code.
