Edwin Garcia | I'm looking for a Progressive Scan DVD to connect to my Onkyo HTS650 and need advice on which one to purchase. I can get the Onkyo DVCP500 from SoundCity for $230. I'm willing to pay up to $300. Should I get the Onkyo or should I get something else? Please help. I would like to purchase this weekend. Thanks |

Don Swift | Recently I purchased a Limit DVD9900SE progressive scan player. As a complete techo-ignoramus I was unaware of what progressive scan was or whether it was even relevant to the business of watching a DVD film. My first viewings, the complete 'Cold Feet' series, were fine, in fact I was impressed with the stability of the picture. However, subsequent viewings have been less than perfect, especially the recently released 'Gangs of New York' in which the snow scenes were just a mass of what I believe is called 'line-twitter'. Is this problem inherent in that particular film or is there a problem with my player? |
