When buying a DLP TV from a dealer do you have to buy the extended warranty from them or can you shop the extended warranty. I am getting ready to buy a Samsung HLP4674W Tv and want to purchase an extended warranty. Who is the best and cheapest.

There are many suppliers. Even your credit card may offer an extension of the warranty. However, check the fine print as some of them have limits on how much they cover.
Suppliers of longer extensions are: Visa, RepairMaster, GE, etc.
Shop around on the internet for Extended Warranties. You will be amazed at the difference in prices on the exact same warranty. Most will not cover bulbs, but if you save enough money on the warranty, you can buy a bulb out of pocket and still come out ahead. Amazon even sells the RepairMaster warranty for 4 year in home service on TV's less that $2500 for around $155. I dont think that is too bad, assuming the warranty is worth that much!
