Hi, I want to play region 1 and 2 DVD's in PAL and NTSC on the TV. Does a new LCD flatscreen TV support both encodings? Frank

Most TV's these days whether they are CRT's Plasma screens or LCD support both formats and are auto switching. However to be on the safe side check the manufacturers specifications.

I checked with SONY and they mailed me that they only sell one special 42" TV what supports both. Is this normal with SONY?
