Need help with an audio problem please. I have connected a new Sony DVP-NS575P DVD player to my 10-year old Toshiba CX32D70 TV. Problem is that voices from DVD soundtracks are much lower volume than background noise and music, such that I can't understand what actors are saying. I don't have the same problem with an existing JVC HR-D74OU video tape player attached to the same TV. I used a R/W/Y phone cable to connect the DVD video and sound to the TV's video-1 inputs. Would appreciate any suggestions or ideas. Thanks in advance.

Hi Kelly,

Try turning off Virtual surround, it sometimes makes it less easy to hear dialogue.
