I have a satellite high definition receiver and an HDTV with a built in ATSC tuner. In a few days I will be installing a roof antenna for reception of local HD channels. Should the antenna be connected directly to the tv antenna VHF/UHF jack or should it be connected to the satellite receiver? One advantage of the latter connection would be the ability to record via the receiver's S-video output. Thoughts on best connection scheme would be appreciated.
