Divide is used to split a recorded segment into two segments. Press enter when highlighting Divide. This will show a screen that allows you to preview the scene and specify point where you want to divide the program. Try this with a bit of video on the hard drive that you can use for a test.

Title is used to name any recorded segments for easy ID. Before finalizing a disc, you can make a main title for the disc.

A few things that you need to know if you don't already : after finishing a recording to the hard drive, use the Marker button to create chapter markers. NOTE : If you dub from the hard drive to a dvd in High Speed mode, all your markers will be retained.. but, if you dub in anything other than Hi Speed (like SP or EP), the video will play in real time during dubbing (like dubbing a VHS) and your markers will not be recorded (you'll end up with a segment without any markers). SO, High Speed dubbing is the way to go. Use the Shorten Segement to edit out unwanted scenes (like Ads.. These are all the main things that you'll need to know.. hope this helps.
