Hi, Everyone. I have an Elite DV-47Ai connected w/ firewire to a VSX-55TXi and I LOVE them. My question is this: I am about 95% sure I'm going to spring for the Elite PRO-530HDI rear projection set which has the HDMI interface. I am still within my return period on the 47Ai- would it be a good idea to upgrade to the 59AVi and connect them through HDMI? Has anyone gotten a 59AVi yet and is using HDMI? Gregory Stern? Thanks for your help. I'm getting a lot of good info from this BBS.

I have yet to find a receiver with hdmi outputs... best bet would be to get an hdmi cable run, but have a dvi-hdmi converter on the receiver end. I have just completed my system with a 1000hdi and a 59. Note - there are neither hdmi or dvi outputs on the 59. I used the cpv outputs.

59aiv DOES have DVI outputs.. You can easily buy in the internet a DVI to HDMI cable that will work fine.
Not sure why Marcus thinks otherwise.. Maybe he is thinkig og the AVR and not the DVD device... ?????
