OK guys.. I have a question for all of you.. If my friend has a HDTV box thru comcast already set up, is it possible for him to get another HDTV box(additonal $5 charge), and for me to use it in another location(another house)? Does comcast have the technology to know that the box has been moved to another location?
Actually I borrowed his box and set it up and it worked.. I am just wondering if comcast will know that the box has moved or not? and if i would get any updates that the box needs for further use?
The HD DVR's being used by comcast actually have a cable modem in them and it's provissioned for the network segment that your're in. They communicate two ways. So it's very possible that they could find out their cable box is not where it's supposed to be.
