I too am looking and I will share what I have learned. Look for HDMI out (not DVI) as you will have the ability to run one cable to the HDTV and carry video and audio. Get BOTH optical and coax digital outs on the DVD as you may need to use one of each from your SAT and DVD into your Home Theater receiver. Lastly, some players are sold with the HDMI (or DVI) cable included. That could save big $$$ if you don't think there is a difference between manufacturer's cable and Monster, etc.
