Controlling your tv with supplied remote DVD/VCR model V8824W

I have a Sanyo CP29AF2 TV and I would like to use the DVD/VCR Combo Player V8824W remote to control it. The Sanyo code is not one listed in the owner's manual. Can anyone help me, please?
