My 3 year old Pioneer DVD player has worked beautifully until now -- within the past month it has developed a nasty habit of freezing, usually (but not always) at chapter breaks. A quick fast-forward or "next chapter" jump moves it ahead, but obviously this is no way to watch a DVD. It doesn't do this on all DVD's, and doesn't do it at all chapter breaks. Is it time to get a new player? Is it a cleaning problem that I can fix? Would a lens cleaner do any good? Would a burst of air help? Anyone have any experience with this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I suggest you read the "DVD player skips" thread. Many people are having the same problem, and they are posting many different solutions. One of those may work for you.
