I am somewhat sure I already know the answer to my question but I just want to be sure.
The DVD player is the Sony DVPNS775V the Reciver is the Onyko DS 484.
My question, the DVD player offers 5.1 multi channel, digital fiber and digital coaxial outputs. Which of these three are best to use for optimal surround sound? The reciver has but only one digital fiber input and two coaxial inputes in which my Sony 60XS955 TV is using the only fiber aviable, this leaves me with only two choices on the reciver from the DVD player, Multi channel or coxial.
What I am thinking is that the 5.1 multi channel is but only analog is this correct? and if so, why would anyone use it?
Can someone shed some light on this for me please.
