I'm looking to purchase a 60" LCD Projection TV and looking for your opinoin as to what is the best out there. My budget is less than $4,000. I was looking at the Hitachi Ultravision 60V500A but after reading a post here, it might not be a good buy. Also, should I get a built in HD Tuner or purchase a seperate tuner? I currently don't had HD Cable as I don't watch TV that much. What is the advantages and disadvantages. Please advise what you would recommend. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

built-in tuners are ok, but for example if you end with Comcast cable hi def - it w/b redundant since they provide the box, and they now offer integrated hard drive hi def video digital recorders/hi def tuners.
Satellites offers the same except no hi def record capablity on VOOM, and you pay upfront for the video hard drive recorders
Sony, Pan, Hitachi all make pretty good 60 inch LCD's - not much difference overall. Good rear projector LCD sets in general
Now if you have a room with some light control, you can save about $1500 by buying a new generation true hi def FRONT projector and screen - e.g Panasonic PT AE 700U LCD 720P - about $2300 plus $200 for a screen approx 90 to 100 inches
Sanyo Z3 and Infocus 5000 also good, but lens throw distance makes placement far more limited
They are excellent for limited viewing users who want a huge screen impact and have a solid table or shelf centered within 18 feet (on the AE700U) of near mid-section of screen.
The picture will blow away any 60 inch plasma, LCD or DLP
