Is this dvd recorder compatible with directtv.I have a sony dvr and it works fine,but just records to the HDD.Now i bought the Pan.E85H so i can record on the dvd formats.Will i have difficulty using this model with my direct tv?
I just purchased mine recently and yes you can record satellite programs but the tv guide program does not work with satellite transmisions. You have to set the timer for the program but on your satellite box make sure it's on the channel you want the show recorded on. I have my tv on channel L1 for the DVD recorder and you can still watch satellite programs while recording off the satellite if you change your tv channel not your satellite channel to channel 3. The only drop off is it's in mono not stereo. Hope this helps as I am learning as I go as well.
