I am thinking about getting a portable DVD player and i am not all that rich LOL i am a poor college student very low on cash. I am not sure if the batteries are the regualr type of AA batteries so i am asking the question do portable DVD players use aklaline batteries? If so i need to remember to buy some Aklaline Batteries. Those "Heavy Duty" Batteries really do not cut the mustard let alone cheese lol. I have fund "Heavy Duty" Batteries just dont loast long. Maybe 1/4 of the time of good batteries makeing it a sink hole of money! So do i need to stock up on my Aklaline Batteries?

Yeah, the thing is that Heavy Duty batteries aren't all they're cracked up to be. They're just cheapo batteries that die quickly. I'm not sure why they're called heavy duty even. Alkalines last a heck of a lot longerand they're not all that move expencive than heavy dutys. When you're only paying a couple cents more for 4 times more life, you gotta wonder why they even sell those heavy duty batteries anymore. I guess since they die so fast people buy will them faster. Silly if you ask me. Go with the alkalines.

Portable DVD players, at least the ones I have seen, use a lithium ion battery. No need to buy extra.
