SONY what does "high contrast ratio" mean?

When shopping for a new plasma set I came across a sony. I was reading the specs and noticed "high contrast ratio" not 3000:1 not 4000:1 but "high contrast ratio". Does anyone know what this represents as far as an actual ratio?
