im buying a new tv and im leaning towards a samsung 32" flat screen crt 16:9. however im insure whether to choose a 100hz capable tv or a 50hz one. I mean does having a 100hz tv grant anything other than less picture flickering?

what about pan scan? ive heard its the same as 100 hz can anyone confirm this?

and as for the topic itself i play import games on my ps2 in europe in a 60hz tv but its reaally small. However when i try to play import games on 50hz tvs the picture turns black and white. Is it because of the 50hz or do i just need an ntsc capable tv even if its just 50hz?
