Help, I'm new to fta and would like to try to get a signal strength reading pointing to Dish with a Dtv receiver. I also bought a analog signal meter on Ebay. I have large trees to the west and don't know if I dan hit the Sat. I have to know befor I envest in a fta receiver. Thanks Ken

You cant never get any channels with that combination, If you got a Dishpro LNB no signal you could get...

I'm not trying to receive encrypted channels, just trying to get a signal strength from Dish befor I buy a fta receiver. First I want make sure that I can point the dish without hitting some trees that might be in the way.
