Hi. I have a 1998 Zenith tv/vcr combo from college. I have long since lost the original remote, and am using an RCA universal one for the set now. While I can adjust channels and cover play, stop, ff, rw, and pause, this remote does nothing else. This hasn't been a problem, but I just got a Desay dvd player. I have connected it to the Zenith set via rca cables. The tv/vcr combo only has white and yellow, but audio is coming through. However, I have no video. The audio comes through but only within the tv audio. I am afraid that I need the tv/vcr button in order to switch into some sort of aux or line-in mode, but 'tv/vcr' does not function through the universal remote. What should I do? Am I stuck because of the remote, or am I missing another possible solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
