I have had HDTV for the past 2 weeks and everythign was working great ... till a couple days ago.

I get a lot of audio and video dropouts - blocky picture and no audio for a few sec. happens almost constently.

Anyone knows what can cause this problem?

Thank you.

How are you getting your signal? OTA, cable or satellite? If you get from OTA and don't not have a direct line of sight of the towers, many things would affect the signal such as weather, buildings, other kind of signal towers, etc. Much like the shadows and snow you got with just the rabbit ears but weak HD signal would give you blocks and black out.

No, I get my signal from cable (RCN) with a Motorola box.

Everything work fine (digital TV, interactive guide) only HD channels have dropouts, it is so annoying that it is impossible to watch a show anymore.

It sounds like your box has a bad HD tuner. Call the cable company and have them try a different box.
