I've scanned a bunch of hte posts here and came close to finding the answer, but I'm pressed for time today and hope you don't mind that I'm asking a question that may aready have been answered.
I'm stuck on a decision between the Sony KD34XBR960 CRT and a Plasma display, the Pioneer PRO-910HD. My biggest concern is whether the upsampling on the Plasma will allow for nice, crisp SDTV from my DirectTV and OTA. I'd hate to invest the extra money in the Pioneer only to be disappointed by everything I watch that ISN'T HDTV. I've seen reports that EDTV actually does a better job of producing good clarity and color from more "standard" signals.
Any thoughts? Does the Pioneer's ATSC tuner overcome the potential problem?
