Toshiba 4900, will it play +R ok??

anyone know? my toshiba 2800 does it fine, both are rated only for -r and im looking for a proggressive scan for my new tv. ive always liked toshiba products, and i want to stay at or below $100. good player?

also looking at the sony ns725p, i think the sony offers a few more features

The toshiba has

D/A Converter 10bit/54mHz

The sony has

12 Bit Video DAC with 108Mhz Processing with NSV

does this mean the sony will give me a better picture? what does all this mean?
