I have a 50" Samsung DLP. HDMI cable from TV to Yamaha receiver, HDMI's from Dish Box to receiver and DVD player to receiver. Is there a way for me to listen to sound coming directly out of my TV? As it is right now, I have to have the receiver on at all times and listen to surround. I want to be able to have the receiver off and just listen/watch my TV. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
In addition to the HDMI cable from the cable box to the receiver run Component video cables and audio cables from the cable box directly to the TV. You can also connect the HDMI from the cable box directly to the TV and add a digital cable from the cable box to the receiver.
