Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with an issue I am having troublegetting around.
My HD satellite receiver runs directly to my desktop computer which is the base for my huge video collection. The video is fed through an S-Video cable and the audio fed through A/V cables.
The computer then feeds the video directly to my Sony HDTV with an HDMI cable. The computer has a digital audio jack where I send the audio directly to my stereo.
Now, the problem is that the video quality is downgraded because it is fed to the computer through the S video cable. I understand that there is no good computer tv tuner cards that have fully function HDMI inputs on the market yet so until then I think I need some kind of switcher that easily allows me to switch the video feed directly to my TV. The problem is that I understand that it will probably send the audio to the TV through the HDMI cable but I want to keep the audio going through the stereo.
