Having an issue with getting much out of my Sub-woofer, I am sure it is in the cabling... What I have is the cable coming out of the receiver on SUB OUTPUT, it then connects to the sub with a splitter/2-bannana jacks to line LEVEL- IN, left/right.. The manufacturer of the SUB is JBL-160, I am almost thinking I should have one more cable coming out of the receiver to the SUB, but unsure????? Maybe the splitter end/2 bananna jacks is supposed to be connected to the receiver as it has been awhile since we have used the system/hooked it up in the TV room..

Jim your fine its mono you can connect one single rca from sub left or right and use one single line rca into reviever sub pre out.

then go into reciever setup menu and make sure sub is yes.

then on back of sub set frequency around 80 hrz

and volume or gain to at least half way 12 o'clock
