Here we go!

I have a newer panasonic surround sound system hooked up on my home theatre system. Problem is, i can only get my xbox and dvd player in surround sound. The thng is....I want my TV (Direct TV box), my xbox, PS3, Wii, and my dvd player to ALL be in surround sound. The reason why i cant (so i was told) was i dont have enough hookups (obviusley), which is why i need a receiver but have not a clue on what to get. I want a good, dependable, and not so pricey receiver that will give me everything in surround. Can someone please help.

casey's right ,, any of the above will be a huge improvement over panasonic,,
not sure of your price range
email or call them or check ebay or amazon.

make sure you hook it up right ,,
do not hook up tv to reciever via optical or audio out..
hook up cable box ,,
dvd ,,wii into reciever
audio and video cables
then one hdmi to tv.
turn sound down on tv.
