I have about $2K to spend on home theater sound (speakers + DVD + receiver), and I believe I can get a better value by buying a bundle - I mean HTiB. What system is the best in this price range?
I like Yamaha's top model (something-1500) for $999 (can find it a bit cheaper) and Cambridge Soundworks Megatheater 530 for little over $1K. Which one is better? Are there any other (better, not cheaper) alternatives? I am looking mostly for good sound quality.
I do not consider Bose - all my friends who bought anything from Bose were disappointed...
if youre spending that much youd be better off buying components seperately, especially if youre not afraid to shop around. dont be fooled into the htib scheme! check out the receivers and speakers board for advice on selection. good call on bose tho!
