What I have is Mentioned above , I have my Bluray hooked up to my TV using Hdmi cables , My Standard Directv box using RCA . I want to be able to use both with my Soundbar = how can i achive this ?
Ideally you upgrade the Directv box so that you can enjoy some HD television programming. Even a basic Directv box has optical out doesn't it? If it does then connect that to the TV, if not then take the analog RCA audio out straight to the soundbar.
Take the RCA cables from the sat box to the soundbar. Since you have HDMI out of the Blu-ray player you need to take optical out of the TV if possible for that. If there are two sets of RCA in on the soundbar you could also connect the second set to the Blu-ray.
