Hi

I have a Philips HTS1335 http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?scy=GB&slg=ENG&cat=DVD_HOME _THEATER_CA&sct=HOME_THEATER_SU&session=20080728120847_213.213.137.202&grp=HOME_ ENTERTAINMENT_GR&ctn=HTS3115/05&mid=Link_ProductInformation&hlt=Link_ProductInfo rmation

and I can't figure out how I can connect the sound from my PS3 to it and also have a HDMI cable for the picture. The HT doesn't have a optical connection!

You have no choice but to use the supplied AV cable for the audio. Plug the red/white cable into the Philips' analogue audio stereo inputs.

You will have to enable the "AV Multi-out" connector under the audio output settings menu. You get there from SETTINGS®SOUND SETTINGS®AUDIO OUTPUT SETTING on the PS3 menu system. This will cut the audio signal going into the TV via HDMI.

Also, you will want to select "Dolby Pro Logic II" on the Philips so that you will hear digitally matrixed surround sound on the games and movies you play on your PS3.
