i have a sony dvd/home theatre system, all 5 speakers are hooked up properly. i only realized recently that sound was only comming out of the front lest and right speakers. i did a test on the setup menu and sound came out from all 5 speakers, but when i listen on tv, dvd, bluray and on the pc, sound still only comes out from the 2 front speakers, how can i fix this, any help would be appreciated
check if the receiver has any settings for "stereo", "dolby digital" etc surround options. If it is set to "stereo", the sound will only come from the front L/R speakers even if you play a Dolby/DTS encoded dvd. Try setting it to Dolby/DTS while playing dvds.
