I have a harman kardon avr 635 receiver that I want to hookup to a future lcd tv (samsung lnt4065f), and hddvd player (not sure which one yet). My basic question is what is the best connection input to use on the receiver, which does NOT have HDMI connnection? It has analog stereo, analog multichannel, optical digital, and coaxial digital audio inputs. It also has component video, video input. I'm assuming the lcd and dvd player will have all these connections in addition to HDMI. If somone can very briefly explain which input would be best to use for both the hddvd player and the lcd tv I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

There is more than one way to go,but to keep it simple heresmy idea. Connect the cable box and the DVD player direectly to the TV with HDMI.Conect the cable box and the DVD to the receiver with a digital connection either Coaxial or Optical depending on the out put on your equipment.
