So I just got a Samsung 1080P LCD Flat Panel (LN-T4665) and I hooked it up to my Denon 3806 AV receiver using a single HDMI connection. My cable box was hooked up to the Denon with compenent video cables. The Samsung kept giving me a weak signal warning with no picture when I tried to select cable and even when I was just trying to access the setup menu. Apparently, the TV needs to be able to support 480i or 576i before the Denon can send signals over HDMI and the Samsung only supports 480P and higher. Has anyone had these issues? Am Can I fix this issue as it stand or is my only alternative compenent video to hook the TV up to the receiver and then run all the HDMI direct the TV? Secondly, if I hook my cable up to the receiver using HDMI and receiver to TV using HDMI will that work (Denon supposedly just passes through if it is HDMI to HDMI)?
