Please i'm running a system on my Pionner d914 that is as follows:
5.1 philips speaker kit with 8 ohms impedance, 100w for the speakers(they are bookshelf type)
2 front mid-sized philips speakers rated 6 ohms, 150w.
Is it ok to run this system on the receiver configured for 6 ohms what about 8 ohms?
Any thing i should look for?

You have a 5.1 speaker kit AND 2 other speakers running up front?

I wouldn't put 2 pairs of speakers up front by using one speaker output per channel. You will change the impedance load depending on how you connect them together.

Stick with one pair for the front.
